Higher Education Australia has introduced Professional Edge – a structured professional-development program delivered alongside its Master of Information Technology from Year 1.
Students receive individual preparation spanning professional direction, SFIA capability mapping, workplace communication, applications, interviews and portfolio development.
When a student demonstrates readiness, HEA works with them to arrange placement with employers recruiting for paid, course-relevant roles. Employers interview and select the candidates who best meet their needs, with HEA coaching and workplace mentoring supporting the student’s development.
Students can graduate with 1,200+ hours of paid, course-relevant experience behind them – along with professional relationships, workplace references and demonstrated evidence of capability.
Professional Edge is an additional HEA service provided alongside the registered course and is not part of the registered course.
